Affiliate Tools
To help you optimize your pages more effectively and drive more traffic to your website, you can take advantage of the SEO tools that are available on the web. The majority of these are completely free, and they each allow you to do different things to help your site rank better in the search engines. There are obviously going to be a number of tools that aren’t going to be too useful, which is why I have collected my favourite SEO tools and presented them below. Hopefully you will find them pretty useful and use them to improve your search engine optimization skills.
SEO Tools
| Keyword Discovery This tool allows you to type in a keyword that you might attempt to rank for, and gives you alternative keywords that you could attack as well as their search frequency. This tool is not free, but it does have a long trial period, which is well worth taking advantage of. |
|
| Keyword Ranking Tool Keep up to date with all of your keyword rankings over time with this particular tool. The tool will track your keyword rankings for you and graph how they move up or down over time, so that you can see how well your SEO efforts are paying off. |
|
| SEO Page Test Give your pages a quick SEO test with this particular tool. The tool will look at title tags, meta tags, keyword density and more to give you a rating on how well your pages are optimized for specific keywords. |
Visitor Tracking
| Google Analytics Analytics is a favourite amongst many webmasters, as it offers free statistics and comprehensive information on your every visitor to your site. The tool covers everything from the number of visitors visiting your site a day, to the particular browser each visitor is using. |
|
| StatCounter This is my personal favourite tracker, as it updates in real time and shows the keywords that visitors are using to visit your site as it happens. Statcounter has roughly the same information that Analytics provides, although I would say that Analytics has the ability to tell you slightly more about your visitors. |
Other Tools
| Browser Checker It is important to check your website design in different browsers to make sure everything looks fine in each. It can be quite time consuming to download each browser and view your site in each. So instead you can use this incredibly useful tool, which will provide you with a screenshot of your site in each of the popular browsers. |
|
| Google Link Web Although this tool may not be directly useful to users, its still pretty cool to see how your site fits within others sites through the links on your particular keywords. Its a very interesting tool that is well worth checking out at least once. |
